Senior Web Designer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Web Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing visually compelling, user-friendly websites and digital assets that effectively communicate brand identity and meet business objectives. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and optimize web experiences for various platforms and devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and create visually compelling, user-friendly websites, landing pages, and digital assets that align with brand guidelines and meet business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers, front-end developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design, content, and functionality.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across web projects.
• Utilize expertise in responsive design and mobile-first approaches to create web designs that provide optimal user experiences across multiple devices and platforms.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions and improve overall web experiences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in web design and user experience, and continuously improve personal skills and knowledge.
• Present and communicate design ideas and concepts effectively to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating on designs as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior web designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Contribute to the ongoing optimization and improvement of existing web properties through data-driven design decisions and A/B testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of web design projects.
• Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and a basic understanding of JavaScript to facilitate collaboration with front-end developers.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first approaches, as well as cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
• Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for typography, color, layout, and hierarchy.
• Experience with user research, usability testing, and incorporating data-driven insights into design decisions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationales to stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Elementor Page Builder, Drupal, or Joomla, is a plus.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in designing for e-commerce platforms or other conversion-focused environments.
• Knowledge of UX design principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
